For sportsmen and women
If you like to indulge in sports during your holiday, the Charente Limousine in the New Aquitaine region offers you many possibilities.
We have already mentioned the many hiking trails starting from the campsite or in the surrounding area. Many other sports can be practised by young and old alike!
Closer to the campsite, located 6 km away in the commune of Massignac, there is a superb accrobranche park accessible from the age of 3: monkey bridges, a walk in the trees, a tyrolean traverse over the lake, a catapult… a whole programme!
A must for budding racing fans: the outdoor karting of La Rochefoucauld, located 25 km from the Camping des Lacs, offers you a secure circuit for wild races! You will be able to enjoy the fun and sport of this very special and much appreciated driving style.
An original concept!
An original concept has been developed between the communes of Terres de Haute-Charente and Confolens (via Manot, 20 km from your campsite): the bicycle-rail. On an old railway line, you can ride on pedal-powered machines: an excellent way to enjoy the landscape at the same time as you make an effort. Please note: some days are reserved for a tourist train ?
A gallop by the water
Riders will not be outdone with a riding centre based in Pressignac (5 km) but relocated in July and August to the lakeside. From the age of 2, rides, courses and lessons are offered by the team of the Centre Equestre des Lacs de Haute-Charente. What a pleasure to gallop along the water’s edge, to take the time to live with these magnificent animals!
For green lovers
The Golf de la Prèze, 40 km from the campsite, will offer its magnificent lawn to those who wish to get some fresh air away from the hustle and bustle for 1 hour, 1/2 or 1 full day. Its natural setting of hills, woods and water will delight more than one golfer on the 18 championship holes, or the 18 pitch and putt holes.
Taking in the sights
To get a bit of height, there’s nothing like a hot air balloon flight over your campsite and the green countryside of our little corner of Nouvelle-Aquitaine! In groups of 2 to 8 people, there is nothing like it to mark a special event, or just for fun. Please note: flights are subject to weather conditions.
