It’s obvious that holidays are mostly about having fun! We have therefore thought about you and there are many exciting things to do in this region of new Aquitaine !
The Futuroscope Park promises you a wonderful day of sensory experience! Located next to Poitiers (1h30 by car), treat yourself to a day or more with family or friends!
Also in the vicinity of Poitiers (1h30 from the campsite), the Vallée des Singes promises an unforgettable experience in the presence of 34 species of primates, i.e. more than 450 monkeys in total freedom on a natural site of 22 hectares!
The campsite and its surroundings
Around the Camping des Lacs, you will also find festivals during the summer season. The festival of World Music and Dance in Confolens (around 15 August) was the first of its kind to be organised, and this is why our beautiful sub-prefecture is home to the International Folklore Committee. The Labyrinthe de la Voix in Rochechouart takes place at the end of July and offers each year numerous concerts of a very high quality. L’imprévu in Montemboeuf (early September) is unique: organised by the “consulat du Groland”, it offers artists with disabilities a stage and an audience delighted each year by high quality performances.
All summer long, the small villages organise their own festivals: it is an opportunity to have a fun time with the inhabitants and to share unforgettable experiences. Don’t miss the “Foire du trône en Limousin” in Oradour-Sur-Vayres (end of July): rides and attractions all over the village and a beautiful fireworks display on the last night. The festival in Videix offers a firework display on the lake, visible from the campsite, on the first Sunday in August.
Visits and discoveries
Our agricultural land will also offer you the possibility to visit breeding farms (goats, cows, donkeys,…) as well as an animal park in Hiesse (30 km).
In Esse, 20 km from the campsite, don’t hesitate to go and discover a Gallic village totally reconstituted and animated by the Gauls of Esse during the days of Grannos!
There are several paintball parks on either side of the lake in the Charente and Haute Vienne. The “Le Village” complex, in Chaillac (20 km from the campsite), is another interlude full of laughter with a programme of bowling, Lasergame, football, bubble-football, Escape-game, children’s play area…
